Domestic water used for drinking, washing or cleaning, whether flowing from a mains supply or private well can sometimes be turbid and contain sediment, sand or clay.
To eliminate this problem it is necessary to install a Sand/Turbidity filter.
Over the years we have developed effective and inexpensive methods of sediment filtration which are outlined below:
Sand/Turbidity Column Filters
The Sand / Turbidity Column filter works by a simple process of mechanically filtering the incoming water supply through a series of differing grades of silica sand.
Sediment is trapped within the sand until a backwash is performed.
The Automatic valve which is mounted on the column will perform a backwash as often as programmed.
During this backwa sh stage, the water cycle is reversed and all of the sediment is washed out to a drain thus, the Sand / Turbidity Column filter is returned to full filtration capacity. Below are some of the options available:
