Through our years of experience, we have developed a range of pH Correction Filters to suit most Irish well water applications.
The Uisce 4 U system is designed to raise the pH of water as it passes through a vessel containing slowly dissolving calcium and magnesium media.
This media slowly dissolves into the water ‘re-mineralising’ the water and naturally raising the pH. The water can then be filtered through an in/out head or through an automatic backwashing filter head as illustrated. The backwashing head has the advantage of preventing ‘cementing’ of the media, remixing the media and also removing any sediment or iron or manganese, which may have been oxidised out of solution as the pH increases.
With a pH below 6, a stronger mix of media is recommended with a backwashable head.
